October 12, 2009 When we decided to sell our home and purchase a new one, we enlisted the help of Mike West and Lani McCormick. The decision to sell was not easy as we loved our home and were concerned about finding a new home that would give us a lot of the things that we loved about our old home. Mike and Lani created a very strong marketing plan that included professional photography and high quality color flyers and a strong web presence. Mike and Lani were very understanding when we had to take our home off the market due to job changes and when we relisted with Mike and Lani their knowledge of the current market conditions and pricing strategy resulted in us selling our home within days of newly listing it in a difficult market. Mike and Lani listened to what we wanted in a new home and found the perfect home for us very quickly! Their strength in research and negotiating helped us purchase the home of our dreams at a great price! After another broker tried unsuccessfully to find a home that met our needs, we were fortunate to find Lani and Mike through their website. They listened carefully to our needs and preferences, worked closely with us to develop a list of likely properties, and in less than a week found exactly what we were looking for. They represented us very well in the negotiations and were successful in putting together a deal far better than we had hoped for. A few months later, in the fall of 2008, the housing market was dismal, prices were falling and nothing was selling and I accepted a new position out of state. We assumed that the house would be on the market for many months, but we called Lani and Mike and left the house in there hands. Three weeks later, despite many other houses on the market in our neighborhood, they presented us with an offer very near our asking price. We´ve owned six homes over the years and worked with many brokers in buying and selling them. Never have we encountered anyone who we would recommend more highly than we do Lani and Mike.  I had been trying to sell my home since March 2007, after several Realtors, with no success, I decided to take the house off the market for the holiday season, for a break from the "Clean house syndrome!". The Christmas crazyness was over, and I was going through my mail, when I saw a card from 2 very chipper Realtors saying "We sell all of our listings in the Harbour Pointe area-no one knows this area better than us". I honestly was going to throw it away, but the words on the card keep repeating in my brain...We know the Harbour Pointe area! So I thought what the heck....I'd give them a try! BEST DECISION I ever made regarding getting my home sold! Mike and Lani know their market, they completely understand what it takes to get a house sold in this awful housing market. While there were times I didn't like what they suggested (It either meant I was going to have to take a lower price or fix one more thing in the house) I knew they were suggesting it because that is what I had to do to make it happen. Mike and Lani felt like friends whose main objective was to help me get my house sold and for the best price we could get that the market would bare. Mike and Lani's professionalism is beyond reproach. They know their stuff. I am so glad I made that call to them.
